How to Give Yourself Dewy Skin (5 Steps)

by Corinne Shoemaker

With summer coming to a close, many girls are starting to give themselves the dewy-skin look. It’s really easy with the right tools, providing a gorgeous glow for the dry months ahead. Just follow these steps...

1. Exfoliate Regularly

We recommend doing this every week at a minimum. Clogged pores are a detriment to healthy-looking skin, especially since they can cause acne, so give your skin a good scrubbin’! We love Measured Micrograins by Bioelements. It uses special ingredients like ginseng and super fine micro granules to eliminate dead skin cells as well as help improve skin texture.

    2. Moisturize, Then Apply Foundation Right Away.

This will not only leave a more flawless finish, but also make your skin look gorgeous and dewy. So, as soon as you moisturize, grab your foundation and work it into your skin. Just be sure that you avoid using a shimmery foundation since it tends to look unnatural. Instead, try using a shimmery highlighter on the parts of your skin that will reflect the light nicely, like your cheekbones, and the center of your forehead.

      3. Try A Cream Blush

This is a better idea than using powder since it will appear more natural. Grab a blush brush and apply your favorite cream to the apples of your cheeks, the sides of your forehead, and down your t-zone. Easy!

        4. Ditch Lip Gloss

Highlighting your lips with gloss will take away from the rest of your face, so opt instead for a lip color that provides minimal shine.

          5. Wash Away Your Makeup Everyday

As you use makeup, the product builds on your skin and can cause it to look dull. Add to this the dirt, oil, and other materials that stick to your skin overtime, and it’s no wonder you’re lacking shine. This is why you must remove your makeup every time you use it. You can do this either with a gentle cleanser or a makeup remover like Green Stuff Facial Cleansing Gel (which actually works as both)!
