10 Steps to Waking Up Gorgeous

by Corinne Shoemaker

What if you could dramatically shorten your morning routine? We could all use a little extra time in the morning (and who doesn’t want to wake up looking gorgeous). Follow these nighttime tips to help you get out of bed looking and feeling better than ever before!

1. Glowing Skin

Begin by washing your face to remove makeup and pollutants (if you’re not sure what the best method is, check out this article). Next, apply a hydrating moisturizer, like Bioelements’ Beyond Hydration. Finish off with vitamin E oil or olive oil and you are sure to turn a few heads with your gorgeous glow!

2. Thicker Eyebrows And Lashes

Apply castor oil to your eyebrows and lashes. The oil will act as a moisturizer, causing them to become noticeably thicker and longer.

    3. Kissable Lips

Smooth a bit of almond oil over your lips. This will hydrate and soften the skin, giving that special someone a nice surprise when you both wake up.

      4. Rested Eyes

Dab some more of that almond oil onto your ring finger and rub it into any lines or dark circles around your eyes to wake up looking refreshed and ready to take on that rush-hour traffic!

        5. Healthy Hair

Take some hair oil, like AG Hair Cosmetics’ The Oil, and work it into your roots. Move your fingers in a clockwise motion to help your locks grow faster.

          6. Rested Eyes

If you suffer from split ends, run some vitamin E oil through them. This will moisturize and smooth your strands, making your split ends disappear. Of course, if things look really bad, you should visit your hairstylist for a trim or try a reparative treatment such as PRAVANA’s Nevo Intense Therapy Leave-In Treatment.

            7. Smooth Strands

Many people don’t know that sleeping on a cotton pillowcase can lead to breakage and frizz. To prevent this, switch to satin (it’s better for your skin, too)!

            8. Soft Hands

Whip up a scrub using olive oil, brown sugar, and vitamin E oil.  Pour it into a pair of gloves, pull them on, and go to bed. It will feel a little weird, but you will be glad you did it – your hands will be remarkably softer and they will have a youthful glow when you see them in the morning.

            9. Smooth Feet

Warm some olive oil and rub it into your feet, then slip on some socks. Go to bed and wake up with soft, hydrated skin.

              10. Gorgeous Nails

Massage your cuticles with a tiny amount of coconut oil to soften them up and strengthen your nails. Coconut oil also makes a good moisturizer for the skin if you’re not brave enough to try the glove trick mentioned above!
