How to Get Long Voluminous Lashes

by Corinne Shoemaker

We all know that the eyes are the windows to a person’s soul – which means that your eyes are one of your most important features (they’re certainly one of your prettiest)! Let’s show them off.  Here we offer a quick tutorial to help you achieve the fullest lashes you’ve ever had, which will help bring attention to your eyes (and what girl doesn’t want long, striking lashes?):

  1. Hydrate

Just as shampoo can strip away vital oils in your hair, so can washing your face dry our your lashes. This is why hydration is super important in both cases. After washing your face, take some vitamin E oil or coconut oil and apply it to your lashes to protect them from drying out and becoming brittle. You may also consider using a mascara that has moisturizing properties, like Beauty Addicts’ Show Off Mascara.

  1. Prep and Prime

Start by taking a black eye pencil and tracing your upper waterline to help make your eyelashes appear thicker. Next, prime your eyelashes using an eyebrow brush. Dip it into some bronzer and brush it through your lashes. Follow this up with an eyelash curler, pumping it at the base of your upper lashes.

  1. Apply

Take your mascara and apply it at the roots, wiggling the brush as you pull it out. Follow this up with a second coat using the same technique. Finish it off with waterproof mascara at the tips of your lashes. If you like thick lower lashes, go through the same steps (otherwise apply a light coat). Go over your lashes and separate any clumps using a pair of tweezers.

That’s all there is to it!
