How to Prevent Hat Hair

by Corinne Shoemaker

It’s that time of the year again – a time for rosy cheeks, twinkly lights, and stylish beanies. But how can you keep your hair looking smooth and styled instead of oddly shaped when you remove your hat? Simple! Just use these tricks…

1. Keep your hair moisturized.

Your hair is prone to static when it’s dry, so don’t skip out on conditioner. It can also help to use a serum. Try Pureology's Smooth Perfection Smoothing Serum.

2. Make sure your hair is totally dry.

Before you wear your cap, make sure your strands aren’t even a little wet – otherwise, when they dry, they will be oddly shaped (and, of course, it will do nothing to keep you warm).

3. Tuck your hair in.

Keep creases out of your hair by pulling it back into a loose bun and folding it under your cap. Bonus: it will keep the weather from messing up your ‘do!

Now you can say goodbye to hat hair once and for all! If you can think of anyone else who might benefit from our tips, please share them.
