5 Easy Hairstyles for Greasy Hair

by Corinne Shoemaker

We get it – as much as you love your time in the shower, there are some days when you just don’t want to wash your hair. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! Read on to learn five easy and super cute hairstyles that you can turn to on the worst of your dirty days.

Start by freshening up your hair. Take your favorite dry shampoo like Pureology's Fresh Approach Dry Shampoo and part your hair in two-inch increments, spraying the roots as you go along. Use this same technique to cover your roots from your hairline to the nape of your neck. Brush it out. Simple!

  1. Curly Hair

Brush and part your hair, then begin curling it in alternating directions. Try Pureology's Curl Complete Uplifting Curl. This will give it a gorgeous, natural-looking style that looks better even without dry shampoo! Best of all, you may be able to make it last an extra day or two with minimal effort (just touch up any droopy curls and apply dry shampoo where needed).

  1. Half-Up Twist

Part your hair off-center and collect a two-inch section from each side of your face. Tightly twist both sections and clip or pin them together at the back of your head. Apply some hairspray if needed like Sudzz FX's AirPlay Designing Spray.

  1. Half-Up Twist Variation

Take your fingers and comb your hair back from your hairline. Next, grab about a two-inch section of hair from behind both ears and pull them up on the crown of your head. Twist your hair where the two sections meet and clip or pin them together. Again, apply hairspray if needed.

  1. Stylish Ponytail

For a cute style that keeps your hair out of your face, all you need is an elastic. Start by pulling your hair up into a ponytail. Next, take one two-inch section of hair and wrap it around the elastic. Tuck it in underneath your ponytail, and that’s it!

  1. Smooth Bun

Pull your hair up into a ponytail at the crown of your head. Loop it through your elastic once, then create a bump, keeping it in place with the same elastic. Wrap your loose hair around the bump and pin it into place. Smooth down any flyaways with hairspray.
