How to Beat a Bad Hair Day

by Corinne Shoemaker

Uh-oh. You stayed up super late re-watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix, and now you’ve overslept. You have to go to work in twenty minutes. You step in front of the mirror, and even Luke’s hair seems to have more bounce than yours.

You are having a very bad hair-day.

Don’t worry – we’re gonna get through this! Follow these tips and your hair will so good, you’ll walk out that door with the confidence of Ms. Patty!

When Frizz Has Taken Over

With the rainy days ahead, you are bound to suffer the evils of frizz. Never fear! With a smoothing cream, you can easily eliminate the problem. Try Pureology's Smooth Perfection Intense Smoothing Cream. It’s formulated with a number of enriching vitamins and antioxidants to both get rid of frizz and leave you with a non-greasy, polished look!

When Grease ‘Gotcha Down

Grab a dry shampoo (we love Pureology's Fresh Approach Dry Shampoo) and attack your roots. No product? If you have blonde hair, you might get away with using baby powder. Comb either of these through and go about your normal routine or move on to a different tactic!

When You’re Lacking Shine

If your hair is looking dull, turn to Kenra's Professional Shine Spray provides weightless, instant shine to any style. This superfine mist provides frizz and flyaway control and contains UV protectants to help guard color.

When You Need a Lift

Change up your part for some quick volume at the roots or try a texturizing spray. Kenra's Professional Root Lifting Spray 13 is perfect for the new season! You could also try this: mist your roots with a bit of warm water, throw your hair over your head, shake it out, and pop back up. Your locks will look re-born, and you will feel refreshed and ready to take on the world (or, at least, the rush-hour traffic)!

Bonus Tip

Bad hair-days are more likely to happen when you aren’t consistent with trimming. Be sure to stop by your salon every six to eight weeks to help keep your mane under control!
